Police are searching for a man they said fired gunshots on a residential street in Hempstead late Saturday night.

The incident occurred on Princeton Street at about 11:20 p.m., Nassau County police said.

Police said three men exited a dark-colored Toyota and walked to a driveway, then one of the men took out a handgun "and fired several shots toward the street." There was no description of the men involved in the alleged incident -- and no one was injured.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
