A 19-year-old Farmingdale man faces criminal mischief charges in a vandalism spree last month in which the side mirrors and windows of at least 21 vehicles were damaged or broken, Nassau police said Tuesday.

The arrest was made two weeks ago, after police investigated vandalism that occurred between 6 p.m. Feb. 18 and 12:20 p.m. Feb. 19, and affected a wide range of vehicles. No one was hurt in the incidents.

Tyler Jensen, of 6 Dean St., was charged with 16 counts of second-degree criminal mischief and 11 counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, police said in a news release Tuesday.

Police did not identify a potential motive.

Jensen was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on March 1. Court records show he was released on his own recognizance. Reached at his Farmingdale home, Jensen declined to comment.

He is due to return to court May 4.

The incidents for which Jensen is responsible, police said, include a broken front windshield on a 2001 Chevrolet on Lakeshore Drive; the broken rear window of a 2011 Volkswagen on Cherry Street; and a broken driver's side view mirror on a 2008 Kia on Sycamore Street.
