A 91-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a car while walking across a parking lot in Cedarhurst on Monday afternoon, police said.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

Nassau County police said the man was walking across the parking lot on Spruce Street when he was struck by the 2012 Buick, driven by a 27-year-old woman, at 3:43 p.m. The identity of the woman also was not released.

Police said the woman remained at the scene and was not injured or charged.

The man was transported to a hospital with what police described as head trauma.
