Cops: Man, 91, missing from Flower Hill hospital, has been found

A 91-year-old man who went missing Tuesday afternoon, after wandering out of the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital on Port Washington Boulevard in Flower Hill, has been found safe and sound, Nassau County police said Wednesday.

Police said that Juan Rodriguez, who has dementia and a heart condition, was found in Port Washington — not far from the hospital. Police said Rodriguez, who requires medication, was in good health.

It was not clear why Rodriguez, who is a resident at the Mayfair Nursing Home in Hempstead, was at St. Francis.

After his disappearance, Rodriguez had been the subject of a Silver Alert.
