An Elmont man was arrested Thursday afternoon after he pointed a gun at a FedEx delivery driver who blocked his driveway, police said.

Nassau police said the delivery driver stopped his vehicle in front of the home on Atherton Avenue about 12:45 p.m., blocking the driveway; when Carlo T. Sicat came home to discover he couldn't park in his driveway, he was enraged.

Police said Sicat went into his house and came back outside with a black handgun. As he came back outside, police said, he started arguing with the FedEx driver, and pointed the gun at the driver.

Fourth Precinct officers responded to the home, recovered the gun and arrested Sicat without incident.

Sicat, 59, is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
