Apparently, a Michigan man who created a scene at a Hicksville store should have kept his mouth shut or, at least, kept his business to himself.

Nassau County police said James Salman, 32, was arrested after he went to Wireless Media in Hicksville and demanded payment for a shipment of cell phones - phones, police said, he had stolen from a tractor-trailer in Illinois.

Instead of getting paid, police said Salman, of Pinecone Boulevard in Shelby, Mich., was arrested and sent to jail.

He is scheduled for arraignment Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead, charged with second-degree criminal possession of stolen property and first-degree defraud.

Police said Wireless Media had ordered 5,500 LG9200 phones at $205 each from Salman. But police said Salman, owner of a company called MyMobile, had stolen the phones from a tractor-trailer in Williamsville, Ill. Nevertheless, police said Salman, who had received a partial payment for delivery of the phones, went to Wireless Media Wednesday and demanded full payment - or that the remainder of the phones be returned.

An argument ensued, police said, and the owners called police. They arrived to discover the phones were stolen, police said.

About 3,000 LG9200 cell phones were recovered at the scene, police said. It was not immediately what had happened to the rest of the phones.
