A burglar who threatened and stole from a Uniondale resident last month was tracked down near his own home Thursday morning and arrested, Nassau police said.

Dontae Squires, 21, of Hempstead, is expected to be arraigned Friday on a charge of first-degree burglary stemming from a March 29 incident, police said.

Squires climbed through the rear window of a Lawrence Street home, police said, and when he was confronted by a 22-year-old man inside, Squires said he had a gun.

The burglar ordered the victim to hand over his laptop and cellphone, then took off, police said.

After an investigation, Squires, of 115 Terrace Ave., was arrested at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, police said.
