A Freeport man was arrested on Saturday morning and charged with possessing marijuana and counterfeit money, Nassau police said.

Jalil Burton, 18, was stopped by police at West Merrick Road and Church Street in Freeport at 11:30 a.m. after police said they saw him driving erratically.

Police said Burton had marijuana and 20 fake $100 bills in his possession.

Burton was arrested and charged with 20 counts of possession of a forged instrument, unlawful possession of marijuana, and two vehicle and traffic law violations.

Burton was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Sunday and was ordered released to the custody of his parents. He is due back in court on Friday.
