Cops: Man beaten, robbed in Roosevelt
A 61-year-old man was hospitalized in stable condition Tuesday after he sustained an orbital fracture during a robbery in Roosevelt, Nassau police said.
The victim was walking in the rear alley of Western Beef, 332 Nassau Rd., at 3:20 p.m., police said, when he was attacked by five men. They stole cash and a cellphone from him, after first beating him with a stick, police said.
