Cops: Man charged in two Nassau bank robberies
A Bronx man who robbed banks in Great Neck and Garden City has been arrested, Nassau County police said Friday.
James Pope, 35, of 721 Tinton Ave., is charged with third-degree robbery in the robbery of a TD Bank in Great Neck on Feb. 4 and second-degree robbery in the robbery of a TD Bank in Garden City on Jan. 30, Robbery Squad detectives said.
He was arrested on 10:45 a.m. Friday in Queens without incident, police said.
No one was injured in the robberies, police said.
Pope is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at Nassau County Court in Mineola.
