A Queens man was arraigned Sunday after he allegedly drove 100 miles an hour on the Long Island Expressway while intoxicated, then kept going when Nassau County police tried to pull him over.

Police said Royce Quigua, 38, of Woodside, was driving a 2002 Kia east on the LIE near Exit 40 in Jericho at 5 a.m. He was traveling at about 100 mph, police said.

After a highway patrol bureau officer spotted Quigua, the suspect changed lanes and crossed over into the HOV lane, cutting the officer off, police said.

Quigua continued to change lanes without signaling before getting off the LIE and running several red lights, refusing to pull over, police said.

Quigua got back on the LIE, this time traveling west, and was pulled over at Exit 36 in Manhasset with the help of other highway patrol bureau officers, police said.

Quigua was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving, third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer, driving while intoxicated and numerous violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

At his arraignment, Quigua was ordered held on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He is due back in court on Wednesday.
