A 61-year-old man was discovered dead in a pond in Wantagh Wednesday evening, police said.

The man, whose identity was not immediately released by police, was discovered face down in the pond about 6:45 p.m. in the water on Oakland Avenue, Nassau police said.

The cause of death was undetermined, police said Wednesday.
