A Bellmore man has been arrested on an assault charge after using his car to injure another man Sunday afternoon in North Bellmore, Nassau County First squad detectives said.

Hassan Nudleman, 22, of 2650 Cedar Ln was driving his 1995 Nissan east on Waring Street at the intersection of Newbridge Road when approached by the unidentified victim, police said in a Monday morning news release.

The two men know each other, police said, and began a heated exchange. The victim then grabbed the inside door of the Nissan driven by Nudleman. At that point, police said Nudleman started to drive away, causing the victim to be thrown from the vehicle and striking his head on the pavement and causing multiple facial fractures.

The victim was taken to Nassau University Medical Center. Police Monday morning were unable to update the victim's condition.

Nudleman was charged with second-degree assault and scheduled to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
