A Queens man faces forgery charges for selling 99 counterfeit coins to a jewelry store in late January in Garden City South, Nassau County police said.

Allen Natanel, 27, of 67-17 Kissena Blvd., Flushing, sold 100 Morgan silver dollars to Frucci Jewelers, 18 Nassau Blvd., for an unspecified amount of cash at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 31, police said.

Later, the owner of the store determined 99 of the coins were counterfeit.

Fourth Squad detectives arrested Natanel at his residence early Wednesday.

He is charged with 10 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. He was arraigned Wednesday and his bail set at $25,000 bond or $10,000 cash.
