Cops: Man pruning trees falls 50 feet in bucket
Police say a man fell about 50 feet when the truck bucket he was in while pruning trees on Long Island crashed to the ground.
Nassau County police say the unidentified worker was airlifted to North Shore Manhasset Hospital in serious condition following the 10 a.m. accident on Monday.
Police say a piston on the bucket broke, sending the man to the ground inside the bucket.
The worker was pruning trees at a private residence on Sherwood Road in Glen Cove.
