Cops: Man robbed on Hempstead street
A 29-year-old man was punched and kicked by a group of hooded and masked men who stole his gold necklace early Saturday on Terrace Avenue in Hempstead, Nassau County police said.
Police said the robbery occurred about 3:30 a.m. when the victim, walking on Terrace Avenue, was approached by five males. The men fled after the assault, police said.
The victim refused medical attention.
