Cops: Man robs East Rockaway store, flees
A gunman who hid his face robbed an East Rockaway store Tuesday morning, Nassau police said.
The suspect came into Card Corner on Main Street at 11:18 a.m. wearing a blue sweater, a hood over his head and a white scarf over his face, police said.
He showed his handgun and demanded money from the employee, who complied, police said. No injuries were reported, police said. The employee was not identified by police.
The suspect ran south on Rhame Avenue, police said. He was described as 6 feet tall with a slim build. He also wore dark pants and a blue and white baseball cap, police said.
