Nassau County police detectives are looking for a man who robbed a Hempstead Dunkin' Donuts at gunpoint on Wednesday evening.

According to Third Squad detectives, a male subject armed with a handgun entered the store at 579 Peninsula Blvd., approached the cashier and demanded cash at about 7:40 p.m. The cashier handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, police said, and the subject fled on foot westbound on Peninsula Boulevard. There were two other employees in the store during the robbery, police said, but no injuries were reported.

Police describe the suspect as about 5-foot-5 and wearing black clothing and a mask. Detectives ask anyone with information about the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous.
