A man robbed a Community National Bank in Rockville Centre on Friday morning, taking an undisclosed amount of cash after he used what he claimed was a "device" in a folder, Nassau County police said.

Four employees were inside the building during the robbery, but no one was injured, police said.

The man entered the bank at 333 Merrick Rd., about 11:50 a.m. and asked to speak with the manager, police said.

After entering the manager's office, the robber placed a brown folder that the he said contained a "device" on a desk and demanded money, police said.

The robber fled the bank on foot heading west on Merrick Road.

Arson investigators determined the folder was nonhazardous. Detectives ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
