Cops: Man's left hand severely burned in LI laundry accident
A 30-year-old man working in a North Lawrence laundry suffered severe burns late Saturday morning after his left hand got jammed in the rollers of a factory steam and iron machine he was trying to fix, police said.
Using a crowbar, co-workers at the A+Laundry, located at 224 Lawrence Ave., were able to free his hand, Nassau County police said in a news release.
A Nassau County police ambulance took the man to a hospital where he is being treated, police said.
