A 57-year-old Bethpage man is under arrest after police said he sent "explicitly sexual and indecent messages" to a 16-year-old girl via the Internet.

Robert Cast of 84 Caffrey Ave. was arrested Thursday at 3 p.m., charged with two counts of first-degree disseminating indecent material to a minor, Nassau County police said. He is scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Cast was arrested after an investigation by the Crimes Against Property Squad, assisted by the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, police said.

It was not immediately clear when the incidents took place.

The girl was not identified because she is a minor and the victim of a sex-related crime.
