A Massapequa man who police said inappropriately touched the feet of teenage girls on two occasions in Farmingdale has been arrested and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Carlos Sanchez, 28, of Carole Court, was arrested Thursday after detectives received tips from Crime Stoppers and a 16-year-old victim took a photo of him with her cellphone camera, Nassau County police said Friday.

At 2 p.m. Monday in Farmingdale, police said, a man now identified as Sanchez approached two girls, 17 and 16, as they sat on swings in Lincoln Park. Police said the man then began to touch the feet of the 16-year-old -- and held on when she tried to pull away.

She took his picture.

He fled into a tan four-door Toyota Camry, police said.

After details of that incident were released, detectives said the Crime Stoppers hotline got calls reporting a similar incident that took place on Jan. 24.

In that incident, police said Sanchez approached three girls, all younger than 16, as they walked home from Farmingdale High School. They said he "reached down and removed a shoe from one of the victims," then "looked at it" -- and put it back on her foot.
