Cops: Man wanted for exposing himself to kids
He rides a bicycle and exposes himself to schoolchildren, police said. Now the cops are trying to find him and stop him — before he does it again.
Nassau County police said they believe the man was responsible for two acts of public lewdness Tuesday afternoon — one near Mepham High School in North Bellmore, the other outside Woodland Junior High School in East Meadow.
The first incident took place at about 3 p.m., when a 17-year-old girl said she was walking near Mepham and saw a man on a bike riding back and forth on Camp Avenue. The girl said the man had brown hair, a light goatee and was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a dark T-shirt and basketball shorts.
As she approached Elbert Avenue and Newbridge Road the girl said the man pulled down his pants and exposed himself.
About 15 minutes later “multiple students” outside Woodland Junior High on Wenwood Drive in East Meadow reported to a teacher they had seen a man on a bicycle “grabbing at himself and licking his lips.”
The man then fled.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding either incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
