Cops: Man with gun, dog robs 2 in Freeport

Two men were robbed at gunpoint Thursday afternoon as they walked along Archer Street in Freeport, Nassau County Police said.

Police said the two men were walking about 1:30 p.m. when they were approached by someone who brandished a gun and demanded money, police said. The assailant, who was accompanied by a dog, fled on foot.
