A man wielding a large kitchen knife robbed a Dunkin' Donuts in Freeport early Saturday morning, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

At 4:25 a.m. the robber entered the store at 389 Atlantic Ave., brandished a knife, hopped the counter and demanded money from a 41-year-old male store employee, police said.

After taking an unknown amount of money from the registers, the robber fled on foot traveling south on South Bayview Avenue.

There were no injuries reported.

The robber was described as thin, about 5-feet, 8-inches tall, wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, a dark baseball cap, black sneakers and a cloth mask over his face.
