Cops: Massapequa Park texting stop yields heroin bust
Nassau County police pulled over a Ronkonkoma man in Massapequa Park for texting Tuesday, they said.
And after they pulled him over, they also found he had 15 bags of heroin, police said.
Jerimiah Domingos, 32, of 14 Huxly Lane, was driving a 2005 Mercedes east on Linden Street around 3:10 p.m. when police said they saw him texting on his cell phone, a traffic violation.
During the traffic stop, police said they found Domingos had a switchblade and the bags of heroin.
Domingos is charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and illegally using a portable electronic device. He was expected to be arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
