Cops: Parkway driver faces drug charges
A Lido Beach man who was pulled over Thursday for speeding on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in Merrick faces drug charges after police found him with marijuana and oxycodone pills, New York State Police said.
Brian Suskind, 18, was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and traffic violations after he was stopped about 2:35 p.m., state police said.
As he was being interviewed, officers noticed that Suskind smelled of marijuana, troopers said in a news release.
A search of Suskind's car yielded a gram of marijuana and two oxycodone pills, the release said.
Suskind is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Hempstead on April 29.
