First Squad detectives are investigating a robbery in which two men used a handgun to steal cash and an iPhone on Friday in Roosevelt, Nassau County police said.

The robbery happened about 1 p.m. in front of 474 Nassau Rd. That's where two men, ages 22 and 30, were working on the side of the road. A man, described as a male with braided hair and wearing red pants and a white shirt, approached the victims and pointed a black handgun at them, police said. He demanded that the victims empty their pockets.

A second robber entered the victims' work truck and removed the iPhone, police said.

Both suspects fled on foot eastbound on East Raymond Avenue. No injuries were reported.

Detectives ask anyone with information about the crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS; callers will remain anonymous.
