Cops: Merrick Ave. in East Meadow reopens after crash

A motor-vehicle accident with injuries closed Merrick Avenue in East Meadow early Tuesday for about 15 minutes, Nassau County police said.

Southbound Merrick Avenue from Front Street to Spring Street was closed from about 7:45 a.m. to 8 a.m., police said.

Police did not immediately have details on the accident or the injuries but said the brief road closure would seem to indicate the injuries were not serious.
