Cops: Mill Pond Park victim died of 'numerous stab wounds'

A man whose body was found slumped over a fallen tree in a Wantagh park was killed by "numerous stab wounds," Nassau County police said Tuesday.
Homicide Squad detectives investigating the case have identified the victim as Marvin Antonio Fuentes Serrano, 27, of Roosevelt, police said.
His body was found Sunday at Mill Pond Park Preserve, police said.
Insp. Kenneth Lack, a police spokesman, said Monday that Serrano's injuries made it obvious he had been killed.
A passerby reported a body "slumped over a log" about 4 p.m.
Homicide detectives said anyone with information could call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
