Third Squad detectives are looking for a man who broke into a Mineola house Sunday and then left when confronted by a woman who lives there, Nassau County police said Monday.

A man broke the rear window of a house on Jerome Avenue at about 12:45 p.m., police said, and once in the dining room he was confronted by a female occupant, police said.

"The subject then fled the house through the same window," police said in a news release. "There were no proceeds [taken] or injury to the victim."

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
