Cops: Missing Westbury woman, 21, returns home

A Westbury woman who was last seen early Wednesday at a Jericho department store has been found, police said.

A Silver Alert had been issued for Lanita Baldwin, 21, who last was seen at the Kohl's Department Store at 28 Jericho Tpke., at about 1:30 a.m.

Dressed in all black clothing, Baldwin was seen entering a dark-colored sport utility vehicle, police said in a news release.

Police said Baldwin returned home Wednesday afternoon.

No further details were provided.

The Silver Alert program is designed to inform local media, hospitals and law enforcement agencies when a senior citizen or individual suffering from mental or cognitive disorders is missing.
