Three officers and four advanced medical technicians helped a mother deliver twin boys Friday in Elmont, Nassau County police said.

Fourth Precinct officers and the AMTs, responding to an emergency call, arrived at Meacham Avenue and Rosser Street at 6:40 a.m. where they found Mariejunia Ally, 33, in labor, according to a news release.

The three officers and the AMTs helped deliver the first twin at the scene, and then the second was born in an ambulance en route to Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, police said.

The AMTs performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the second twin in the ambulance, police said.

The mother and both babies "were admitted to the hospital and are doing well," the release said.

Police had no additional details.
