Cops: Motorcyclist critical after Meadowbrook Parkway accident
A 45-year-old motorcyclist from Queens is in critical condition at Nassau University Medical Center after State Police said he rear-ended a car on the southbound Meadowbrook Parkway on Sunday -- and was ejected from his bike.
Wendell Bart, of Laurelton, was riding his 2008 Kawasaki "at a high rate of speed" when he ran into the back of a Scion sedan south of Hempstead Turnpike in Merrick at 8:41 p.m., police said. The driver of the Scion, identified by police as Jazmine Guerra, 19, of Oceanside, was not injured.
No one has been charged in the crash.
Police said Bart suffered "serious head trauma."
Police said the investigation is continuing and are asking anyone with information regarding the crash to call investigators at 631-756-3300.
