Cops: New Hyde Park man drowns in pool
A New Hyde Park man drowned after jumping into his pool for a late-night swim Thursday, Nassau County police said.
Soon after Chang Kwack, 51, got in the pool, he was seen going under the water in distress, police said.
Family members pulled him from the water, called police and performed CPR just before 11:30 p.m.
Kwack was taken to a hospital, where efforts to revive him failed.
Police said the death does not appear to be criminal.
