A Baldwin home's second-story extension collapsed on Tuesday night, but no one was injured, police said.
The collapse occurred at a home on Wood Park Drive at about 9:20 p.m., Nassau County police said. The collapse involved a rear second-floor enclosed porch, police said.
Police said that after the collapse was reported, LIPA cut the power to the area to ensure the safety of emergency responders. The power has since been restored, police said.
The accident is under investigation by a Town of Hempstead building inspector.
It was not immediately clear what factors led to the collapse.
