An officer on patrol in Westbury spotted a man inside a computer store on Merrick Avenue at 2:28 a.m. Monday, arresting the man as he exited, police said.

Sean P. Walsh, 33, of Elmtree Lane, Levittown, was charged with third-degree burglary and two counts of fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon, Nassau County police said. He is scheduled for arraignment Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said a Third Precinct officer spotted Walsh inside Micro Center and stopped him when he left the building.

A search of a 1993 Chevy Astro van owned by Walsh turned up a black gravity knife and a metal baton, police said.

Editor's note: Nassau police said Tuesday that Walsh was arrested after he left the Tile Shop, 655 Merrick Ave., which is adjacent to the Micro Center at the same address.
