Cops: Oil deliveryman robbed in Baldwin
Nassau County police are searching for suspects in a robbery of an oil deliveryman in Baldwin on Friday afternoon.
During a delivery to a Coolidge Avenue house about noon, the 44-year-old victim was approached by a man demanding money, police said.
A second man grabbed the victim from behind, knocking him to the ground, police said. They took from the deliveryman an undisclosed amount of cash and an iPhone, police said, then fled in a blue Chevy Malibu with out-of-state plates.
The victim sustained cuts to his head and face but refused medical attention at the scene, police said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
