Nassau police arrested a Queens man Friday for his part in a bank robbery in Valley Stream last March.

Anthony Leon, 20, of 18th Street in Astoria was arrested in the robbery of a TD Bank at 275 W. Merrick Rd. on March 24 at 1:15 p.m., police said. Two men entered the bank at 1:15 p.m., police said. Leon, who was described as wearing a black wool hat and black sweatshirt, waited in line to see a teller while the second man sat down in the customer service area, police said.

Leon passed a note demanding cash to the bank teller, who gave him an unknown amount of money, police said. Both men then fled on foot east on West Merrick Road. There were no injuries in the robbery.

The second suspect, who police said has not been arrested, is described as being 18 to 21 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, wearing Afro-style hair with a bleached-white Mohawk in the middle of his head.
