One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident on the Long Island Expressway Monday morning between exits 39 and 40 in Old Westbury, Nassau County police said.

Police issued a traffic advisory at 8:17 a.m. saying the right lane was closed because of the accident "with injury." Traffic to all lanes was restored at about noon, police said.

A police spokeswoman said "the injury does not appear to be serious at this time" but had no additional information.
