A Bay Park man violated an order of protection when he reunited with the mother of his child to sell drugs from their home, Nassau County police said Friday.

David Ortiz, 26, and Alicia Jewell, 29, both of 11 Kirgan Ct., sold cocaine and oxycodone from their residence several times, police said.

They were arrested on multiple charges, including criminal possession of drugs, at about 4:15 p.m. Thursday while on Adams Street, police said

The couple's child, a girl who was in the home at the time of the drug sales, was released to a family member, police said. A department spokeswoman on Friday said she did not have the girl's age.

Detectives recovered cocaine, oxycodone pills, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash from their residence, police said.

Ortiz is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, five counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a control substance, aggravated family offense and first-degree criminal contempt.

Police said the aggravated family offense charge is because Ortiz violated a Family Court order of protection by "being in the company" of Jewell.

Jewell is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both are scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
