One man used a fraudulent driver's license and Social Security card to get loans used to purchase two motorcycles, police said, while another man rented a U-Haul truck to transport the two bikes from the dealership in Hicksville.

On Monday, both men were arrested and charged in connection with the scheme.

Nassau County police said Arthur Sherwood, 29, of 3043 Voorhies Ave., Brooklyn, and Issouf Z. Sy, 32, of 545 W. 156th St., Manhattan, were each charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny.

Additionally, Sherwood was charged with two counts of possession of a forged instrument, first-degree identity theft and first-degree defraud.

Police said that on Nov. 14, Sherwood entered Long Island Kawasaki-Yamaha on North Broadway in Hicksville and, using a fraudulent license and Social Security card, obtained a loan for $16,000 from Capital One Bank -- a loan used to purchase two motorcycles.

Sy then used the U-Haul truck to remove the motorcycles from the site, police said.

Police did not say where the two men were arrested.

Both are scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
