A 24-year-old man was robbed of cash by two assailants early Sunday morning in Inwood, Nassau police said.

The victim was walking on Mott Avenue near Lawrence Avenue when he saw a gray sport utility vehicle pass him and make a U-turn about 5:50 a.m., police said. The vehicle, which was occupied by about five or six men, stopped near the victim and two of its occupants got out and struck the victim in the face, police said.

The suspects, who were both wearing hooded sweatshirts, took an undetermined amount of cash from the victim's pockets and got back in the car, which fled westbound on Mott Avenue, police said.

The victim's face was bruised, police said
