Cops: Pedestrian hit by car in North New Hyde Park taken to hospital
A pedestrian was transported to a hospital Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Hillside Avenue in North New Hyde Park, Nassau County police said.
The extent of the injuries was not immediately clear.
Police said the accident occurred on Hillside Avenue north of North 6th Street at 10:21 a.m. The driver remained at the scene, police said.
Details of the accident are still emerging. Police are investigating.
