Cops: Pedestrian seriously hurt in Island Park hit-run
Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a female pedestrian early Monday on Long Beach Road in Island Park, causing serious injuries.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital, Nassau County police said.
The accident occurred at 3:06 a.m. Police said it was not immediately clear what kind of vehicle struck the pedestrian -- and said details of the crash were still emerging.
