A customer at a Hicksville pharmacy was arrested Thursday after he used a fictitious name and a fraudulent prescription in an attempt to obtain oxycodone, police said.

Charles Martinez, 51, of 766 Miller Ave., went to CVS at 202 W. Old Country Rd. on April 2 "and presented a computer generated New York State prescription for oxycodone," Nassau County police said in a news release.

Police said "it was determined the prescription was fraudulent."

Martinez returned to CVS Thursday to pick up the prescription, and he was taken into custody, police said.

He was charged with second-degree possession of a forged instrument, and he will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
