Nassau detectives are looking for a crew of men who robbed a pedestrian as he was walking home from a bus stop in Freeport Sunday night, police said.

The robbery occurred at around 6:55 p.m. after Nassau County police said a gray sedan containing five men approached the 33-year-old victim near Independence Avenue and Lafayette Place.

Three of the men then exited the vehicle and one of the suspects, who police said was wearing a red and white sweater, pointed a gun at the victim. Police said the second suspect also had a handgun and the third suspect was armed with shotgun.

One of the men demanded "property" and money, and the victim complied before the suspects re-entered the vehicle, which fled south on Lafayette Place. There were no reported injuries.

Detectives request anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
