First Squad detectives are looking for a masked gunman who robbed a gas station in Baldwin early Monday, Nassau County police said.

A man flashing a silver handgun and wearing a mask over the lower portion of his face entered the Mobil station at 1214 Grand Ave. at about 1:25 a.m., police said.

He demanded that the clerk inside the station's minimart, a 27-year-old man, give him money from the cash register. The clerk complied, and the gunman left the station, running north with an unspecified amount of cash, police said.

No one was hurt, police said.

Anyone with information on the incident can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
