Nassau County police are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred at a bank in Roslyn Heights Wednesday afternoon.

Police said a man, about 20 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light blue pants and construction boots, entered the TD Bank at 111 Mineola Ave. and presented a "robbery demand" note to the teller.

After several seconds, the man took back the note and left on foot, heading north on Mineola Avenue, police said, adding that no proceeds were taken or injuries reported. Five employees and one customer were in the bank at the time of the robbery, police said.
