Cops probe bread delivery man's holdup
A bread delivery man was held up at gunpoint early Thursday in Elmont, robbed of his cellphone and cash, Nassau County police said.
Fifth Squad detectives said the delivery man, 34, was making a stop at Compare Foods on Linden Boulevard at about 3 a.m. when he was approached by two men.
The first man pointed a black handgun at the delivery man and ordered him to give up his money.
After the gunman pushed the victim to the ground, the second man went through the victim's pockets, taking the cellphone and an undetermined amount of cash, police said.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers, 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
